Lefse making
Grandma would be working right alongside me I just know it!
Taking orders for Thanksgiving!
Joshua took Angela along to the junkyard. We went on a big adventure and he scouted around for parts for the little Ford Ranger. We helped him haul parts back.
Pretty decent sunset the other night.
I had some great helpers with donuts for market last week!
I will not be doing the winter market but finished well.
This has been me lately, I am going in circles lately and just have lost alot of incentive for things. Plus the demanding projects still at home.
Welcome back year of frozen waterers........ -_-
Friday night Peter and I hosted a bonfire for some great friends!
We had hot apple cider, mountain dew, monster cookies and other snacks.
The evening ended with big beautiful snowflakes and windy conditions making it look like a great blizzard but the bonfire was mesmerizing.
Celebrated my best friends 21st birthday with a fun brunch at my place Sunday.
Two of my favorite gals attended and made it a fun afternoon.
Happy birthday Angela! :)
Frustrations continue with the coop I am working on.
Daylight hours wayning are getting on my nerves.
Finished off the evening with a Snicker Bar chocolate cake.
The never ending buckets and coolers of apples to process await me tomorrow.
To all a good night.💤😴
In a culture that scrambles to and fro, constantly seeking the next thrill and glorifying the "busyness" of life, it takes practice to rest. To still the mind, silence the outside world, and recharge sometimes feels nearly impossible. It takes practice and intention to create value in rest. "Don't live for the next vacation; create a life you don't have to take a vacation from."
Pockets of rest, found by fireplace, in front of the art easel, or in the kitchen, quiet the noise of life. Cultivate silence, restoration and rest.
I'm of the mindset that people don't need an excuse to wrap up in a wool blanket, grab a cup of espresso, and do nothing other than WATCH THE FIRE BURN.
Try it.
Put a fire on.
Its absolutely captivating.
Your soul needs time by the fire.
