Hey ya'll!
I got a couple posts to make tonight so I shall get right to 'er! ;)
I drove up to Bottineau, ND for four days to visit Bartlett Farms intern Becca.
I was greeted by Bartlett farm manager Peter and an excited hug from Becca upon my arrival. We set to work right away picking apples. Becca took this picture of me with a HUGE apple!
....I maybe sampled a few as well ;)
After supper I helped Becca wash eggs and Peter fill orders for a delivery Mr. Bartlett was making early the next morning. Btw, that is a chicken egg....not a turkey egg :P Becca almost made me fall for that one. ;)
Needless to say I ate superbly while I was up there! Cornbread and chili my first night. Delicious homemade granola and yogurt was my favorite breakfast! Those beef and cheese burritos were pretty amazing too^ Not to forget the raspberry parfaits. Mainly everything consumed was homemade and prepared from an actual recipe! It was awesome! :)
Cutting up the apples we picked for sweet applesauce Mrs. Bartlett canned.
So cute!!!!!
Amazing sunset!
The sun was just gorgeous throughout the special time spend up at Bartlett Farms!
North Dakota is really beautiful countryside!
"But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers."
~Psalms 1:2-3~
A trip to Mystical Horizons offered a very spectacular view of North Dakota's golden hour. Photo credits to Becca and Andrew.
Cool shades Becca! :)
"Church selfie" :)
Becca entertained me with her guitar skills!
She suggested we try drawing Sunday afternoon. She's got the "eye" for it ;)
Pretty picture of her drawing.
Joining her for the last mornings milking. I got a help some more before I left!
Becca and the Bartlett family, last meal together before I left. (from left to right, Becca, Mrs. Bartlett, Andrew, Peter and Mr. Bartlett)
David made it later, but here are a couple goofy pictures of him! :)
Their cats get spoiled ;) "Funny face" and "Goofy" were the fuzziest ones! Goofy liked me the best :)
Goodbye pictures.....Top, Becca, I and Peter.
Middle, the picture that best expresses how Becca and I got along :)
Bottom, awww sisters!
I am so thankful for God providing the opportunity to visit.
I miss you Becca!
Till He Comes,
Emmygirl
