Rewarding weekend

Loaded up my ice fishing gear and essentials for the cold weather
and headed to Bay Lake, MN for the weekend.
Arrival at 6:06 pm at the Lonesome Pine bar and grill.
Was treated to an amazing supper with snails as the appetizers!

Amanda and her fiance Matt, giving instructions for spearing.
I had a gorgeous view from my quiet cabin the next morning

Rides to the lake anyone?! Polaris style
Some screenshots of the other speared Pike!

So excited for this gal! She got one right before we had to go!

This is the view you have looking down about 12-15 ft of water to the bottom of the lake, patiently waiting for the Northerns to swim through so you can stab 'em good!

1st year and 2nd year photo comparison for ladies attending spearing weekend!

SUNRISE, begging me to stay. πŸ’š
More spearing! It was so awesome to get on the ice again, with some great like-minded gals!
Michelle sharing her venison sausage, pepper jack and crackers for lunch.
Got my first one this year! #slayin

Supper at the Lonesome Pine was a superb chicken cordon blue,
steak(grilled to perfection) steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes!

Made it to Jane and Kent's late Sunday evening to a bed fit for a Queen and
some amazing soup with fresh & hot popovers with a cinnamon honey butter!
Morning winter lake views, overlooking Round Lake, MN

We went out to Northwoods Pub below the amazing Grand View Lodge.

We enjoying looking around outside where they have these neat igloos for people to rent out and socialize in during the winter! Drinks, food and games are included in a 100$ fee for a couple hours.
It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend and the visiting and hospitality was so sweet and precious. They sent me home with a thermos of hot coffee for the long drive home.

2020+new friends

Still using the old scale for measuring
Snowy days I still kick the chickens (the roosters mainly) out to run off their annoying energy that bothers the hen and their laying system.

EVERYTHING NEEDS SOME QUIET TIME"

Best friend Angela moved into her own place
New Years meal, plus the prime rib!
Pretty good egg day!
Roadtrip with Peter!
It was SO amazing to finally meet this crazy girl in person. She works at Bitty Bean coffee and Brick Oven Bakery in Bismarck, ND. Lives on a ranch with a slight obsession for coffee, loving Jesus and her family. You will certainly be seeing more of her in my pictures!

She has helped me grow as a Christian and has so much laughter and smiles,
you can't help but smile around herπŸ’™

Overall it was a great time to spend with Peter, our favorite song to listen to tirelessly
is "East Bound and Down"

We got to see our extended family and cousins while we were in Bismarck too!

Bismarck seems to be the land of Ford's by the way.....they are EVERYWHERE!

 Horsie love

See you soon JessieπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’˜πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’›
