Garden gleaning and sunsets!

Hey ya'll!! :)
I don't have time to post about VBS yet but I do plan on making a blog post dedicated to just that somewhere in the near future! :)
IN the meantime here is a few things I am excited about!
Wheat harvest is early and in full steam ahead. Such a blessing to see Christian farmers who refrain from working on Sunday's trusting God to provide the time for "His" crops to be harvested.
I ran out of fuel on the way back from Fargo and while I waited for a family to come assist me, I enjoyed watching this amazing sunset!

My garden has produce! Such a blessing to be harvesting peas, green beans and cucumbers soon!
I have tomatoes on the vines and a green pepper growing on my pepper plant!

Topped off with God blowing my mind with this breathtaking sunset!

Since when.....

....has parenting gotten so mixed up that a Mom calls into a radio station asking if she is being a "bad parent" by not allowing her daughter to wear the "short shorts"?
....have we been okay with a woman in a leadership position in place of the man?
.....has farming changed to the extent that applying chemicals to crops is okay? Its not safe to get those chemicals on our skin even, why is it fine on the crop itself? Which we eventually eat ourselves?!
.......have we began such a fast paced life? What happened to taking your time to eat your food, to do your work properly and sitting down to enjoy an amazing sunset?
.....have people forgotten how to carry on a good wholesome conversation, face to face, and not iphone to smartphone?
......have we forgotten our God and pleasing Him, not man?

Since when has this all changed? :(

 Good song! ^

"He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot.
Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea."
Micah 7:19

Howdy All-

 How's everyone doing?
I've been quite busy, but wanted to quick update ya'll on the happenings of this week!

Mainly pictures to update:
My garden loved the rain!! Haha as did the weeds ;)
"But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children's children."
Psalms 103:17
*Notice how the verse says to "fear Him" and not "fear man". *
I know it may be difficult with the peer pressure this world gives but learning to fear God instead of man will bring you more joy and blessings will abound.
America, Bless God
Making little salad cups for work. Packing nutritious lunches for me is a new adventure! I love being creative with my lunches! Looking now for a good granola bar recipe that doesn't need corn syrup in the recipe :/   If anyone has lunch ideas for me please comment them! :)

My brothers and I are leaders in VBS at our church. 6-8:30 every night till Thursday. The theme this year is Cowabunga! (A farm theme ;) It has been a blessing to see others in our church serving and willing to follow the Lord! I wear a ridiculous outfit and I will include a picture later in the week.
So on top of that I am going to be working 8-5 every day at Dow Agro. Please pray that I get plenty of sleep and be patience with the children as we teach them the love of the Lord :)
I leave you with a song that as touched me greatly over the past few days.
For Those Tears I Died
Night all!
Till His blessed return!

Rain, New job and Sally Fallon ~

Howdy Ya'll-
We have been blessed with rain since my last blog post!! Quite a bit actually and some people still have the nerve to complain. Soil sure soaked it up though. I'm happy for the rain, aside from my current job requires being outdoors and has been laid back since the rain has made the fields very muddy.

I got a local job at Dow Agro Sciences for this month and the next in addition to my deli job at Econo Foods. I am happy to be outside as I love. Not fully supportive of what they do but I still think trying it out and seeing the science behind what they do is wise.
I am still in the market for a farm job, internship, and more on the organic, natural and sustainable side of farming. I really miss that.

Speaking of wisdom....
Sally Fallon, author of Nourishing Traditions,
was in Fargo last night at the Holiday Inn!!!! I went with my Mother :)
It was a great and blessed time! I had never heard Sally speak before, and was happily "noting" away. (hehe, I LOVE taking notes ;)
By the way, in case you didn't already know, food is a complex subject and non the less interesting!
A few of my notes:
1. Overall degeneration of the human race is due to a main diet of America's overly processed food.
2. There are 11 principles of healthy diets
(If you want to know them leave a comment and I can do another blog post on it!)
3. Raw milk! Its good for you! Easier for the body to digest too.
4. And a big part of the second half session was "Don't be afraid of butter"
Having good fats like, grass-fed pasture butter, olive oil, lard, coconut oil and cod liver oil are good to consume and not to avoid.
I loved how she has science, history, studies and even chemistry included in her talk! I learned alot and appreciated going and being with like-minded farmers :)

FOUND: a good verse

Howdy!

I had to share this......

"But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself,
so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received  from the Lord Jesus,
to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God."
Acts 20:24

As I sit by my window and pray for rain, with lightning gleaming through the darkness and cracks of thunder masking the background. I bid thee goodnight
